What You Can Expect During Facelift Surgery Recovery
There is no such thing as cosmetic surgery without recovery. A proper plastic surgery recovery period is needed to both allow the body the time it needs to fully heal after surgery and promote the best-possible results from a cosmetic procedure. However, the plastic surgery recovery period doesn’t necessarily have to be daunting. In fact, many patients are pleasantly surprised to discover how simple and quick post-surgery recovery can be. With this in mind, I wanted to discuss what my patients can realistically expect while recovering after facelift surgery.
Generally speaking, facelift recovery can be very straightforward. This is especially true in cases where I use my signature short scar facelift method to help rejuvenate a patient’s facial appearance. During the procedure, I am able to make smaller incisions than the ones associated with a traditional facelift. Additionally, the short scar facelift utilizes Quill™ knotless sutures to also safely and effectively reduce a patient’s downtime after surgery. It’s normal for patients to return to their normal activities such as work, light exercise and other routine things in just two weeks or less depending on the type of work performed, however, this may vary from patient-to-patient.
