Is a Mommy Makeover Safe?
Safety is a top priority for many cosmetic surgery patients. As it should be. Although some cosmetic procedures may seem minor in nature, the truth is that no surgery should be taken lightly. In the past, I have noticed an increased sense of caution from prospective mommy makeover patients due to the complex nature of this combination procedure. A mommy makeover combines multiple body contouring procedures (liposuction, tummy tuck, cosmetic breast surgery) into one surgery in order to provide more comprehensive aesthetic results. So I have decided to answer a question that I have heard a lot over the years: is a mommy makeover safe?
In my experience, as long as you are in good health and find an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon to perform your procedure, a mommy makeover is a very safe cosmetic surgery. I emphasize experience here because a mommy makeover is highly customizable. It’s important for the surgeon performing your mommy makeover to not only understand how to help you achieve the best-possible results, but how to safely combine these procedures into one session in a way that will not compromise your health or results during surgery or recovery.
In the following video, I discuss mommy makeover surgery and why it is considered very safe for most women to undergo.
I understand that the idea of undergoing three cosmetic procedures at once can seem like a lot, but in many cases, a mommy makeover can actually be a smoother, and simpler process than undergoing these surgeries separately. Many patients appreciate the time saved by combining three separate post-surgery recovery periods into one. The results of a mommy makeover are typically long-lasting and truly outstanding.
