Dr. Franklyn Elliott to Participate In 2019 Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium
Part of being a board-certified plastic surgeon is spreading the wealth of knowledge that I have learned over the years with my colleagues. In order to help advance the field of plastic surgery, it’s important to not only share specialized techniques and surgical methods with peers but also to take the time to serve as a mentor to the next generation of plastic surgeons. That’s why I take such great pleasure in participating at different plastic and reconstructive surgery conferences each year. Especially the annual Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium.
The 35th annual Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium will be held between January 18 – 20 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Atlanta. The event, put on by the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (SESPRS), will feature panel discussions, surgical demonstrations, and presentations on a wide variety of topics pertaining to cosmetic breast surgery and breast reconstruction. Hundreds of plastic surgeons from all over the world will be in attendance. I am honored to once again be serving as one of the Emeritus Chairs, along with my long-time friend Dr. Carl R. Hartrampf, founder of Atlanta Plastic Surgery and the Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium.
I will also be participating at the symposium as both a moderator and a featured presenter. I will be moderating panels on autologous breast reconstruction, breast augmentation and mastopexy, and how surgeons can cope with difficult breast surgery patients. Additionally, I will be giving a presentation on a topic I hold very near and dear to my heart, the TRAM flap method for breast reconstruction. It is a great privilege to be able to speak at the symposium once again and I am greatly looking forward to this opportunity.
Without exception, every plastic surgeon’s medical career begins with rigorous education and training. However, I have always believed that the passion to continue learning, improving, teaching, and keeping up with all the medical advances is essential for any medical professional who strives to provide the absolute best care to their patients.
