How Can Gynecomastia In Men Be Treated?
Despite how common male breast reduction is, many men may not fully understand the leading cause of this aesthetic concern. I have spoken to countless male patients through the years who want to know if exercise or fat removal procedures like liposuction will be able to effectively treat their chest area. In many cases, the answer is unfortunately no. This is because in most cases, male breast enlargement is the result of gynecomastia, a condition that causes excess glandular breast tissue in the chest. This is a genetic condition and can only do so much. While shedding fat may not be able to help, I am happy to provide information on the one surefire method for treating gynecomastia.
While there may not yet be a legitimate non-surgical solution for treating gynecomastia, male breast reduction surgery is a highly trusted and effective surgical method that patients can believe in. During the procedure, I am able to remove the excess tissue around the chest (as well as excess skin and fat as needed) to create a flatter, more masculine chest contour. This procedure can be safely performed on men of all ages, as long as they are deemed to be a good candidate for the surgery following a plastic surgery consultation appointment.
In the following video, I go into detail on how male breast reduction can help men who experience gynecomastia:
