Sharing my Experience as a Plastic Surgeon
The duties of a double board-certified plastic surgeon go far beyond simply performing surgical procedures on patients. After over 35 years of performing cosmetic surgery, I have gathered a wealth of information and knowledge on various surgical techniques and methods. I believe it is part of my professional responsibility to share the things I have learned through the years. That’s why I take my role as both a teacher and a mentor to the next generation of up-and-coming cosmetic medical professionals so seriously.
I take great pride in helping young surgeons understand the problem-solving methods needed to succeed in the world of cosmetic surgery. But there is more to teaching cosmetic surgery than just advising young doctors. My teaching has taken me across the world to give presentations, perform surgical procedures, and demonstrate specific surgical techniques that I have developed like my signature short scar facelift on a more intimate, peer-to-peer basis.
My love of teaching and passing on knowledge is a major reason why I have served as one of the directors of the Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium for almost 20 years. Check out the video below where I discuss this more in-depth.
It is my belief that the more my generation passes on to the next, the better the entire plastic surgery field can be. I take great pride in doing my part to help provide less experienced cosmetic plastic surgeons with as much knowledge and skill as possible.
