January 13^th – 15^th surgeons from across the United States and the world gathered for the 28^th Annual Breast Surgery Symposium hosted by Northside Hospital and The Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Dr. Franklyn Elliott, a leader in breast surgery research and education, served as one of the chairmen and faculty at the event this year.

Well known for his work with the original breast reconstruction TRAM method, Dr. Elliott showcased the latest in breast reconstruction technology at the symposium. Dr. Elliott also performed a live surgery—breast lift with implants or augmentation mastopexy—which was telecast from Northside Hospital to the viewing plastic surgeons who took part in the meeting at the Intercontinental Hotel Buckhead.

The event featured live surgical demonstrations, surgeon-led discussion panels, and question-answer sessions along with presentations on the latest in breast surgery techniques.
