Why The Summer Season Is a Great Time for Plastic Surgery
A topic that I often discuss with my patients during consultations is the ideal timing for plastic surgery. Essentially, which times are better than others to undergo a cosmetic procedure. The truth is, there’s no such thing as a bad time to improve your self-esteem and feel better about your overall appearance. However, I wanted to take a bit of time today to discuss plastic surgery during the summer and the advantages that this time of year can provide for patients.
A Time for Body Contouring
Body contouring surgery is always highly in-demand, but especially in the summer where everyone is showing a little more skin. It’s only natural to want to show off the best version of yourself with vacations and trips to the beach and pool on the horizon. Liposuction surgery, a proven method for removing fat deposits from areas all over the face and body, is especially popular this time of year.
Extra Vacation Time
With plastic surgery comes a needed post-surgery recovery period. And while recovery after plastic surgery is often shorter and less daunting than most people realize, the extra time off away from school or work during the summer can still be highly beneficial. Procedures like liposuction, tummy tuck, and rhinoplasty surgery that are very popular among younger plastic surgery patients become even more common during the summer months.
Being Fully Ready for Fall
While the results of any cosmetic surgery procedure can be seen in the weeks following surgery, it often takes several weeks or even months for the final results to be established. So patients who choose to undergo procedures like a facelift or breast augmentation now will have ample time to recover fully and be ready for the start of fall. As fall is often a time for change, achieving the final results of a plastic surgery procedure at the start of this season is often preferable for many patients.
