What Were The Current Trends In Plastic Surgery in 2022?

As someone board-certified in both plastic surgery and general surgery, my responsibilities extend far beyond just providing my patients with great, long-lasting cosmetic surgery results. People’s tastes change over time, and this is certainly the case in regards to their appearance. I take pride in staying up to date with the plastic surgery industry at large and being able to fill my patients in on specific trends that establish themselves over time. With this in mind, I wanted to discuss a few current trends in plastic surgery and what they could mean for my patients.

In my personal experience, body contouring surgery is more in-demand than ever. There has been a huge demand here for body contouring procedures like liposuction, tummy tuck surgery, and cosmetic breast procedures. Additionally, combining these separate procedures into one combined mommy makeover surgery has remained consistently in-demand among my patients over the last year. Anti-aging cosmetic treatments including Botox® Cosmetic injections, facial fillers, and fat transfer for the face have all seen dramatic upticks in popularity for patients who want to turn back the clock and rejuvenate the appearance of their face, or younger patients on a maintenance treatment plan to prevent signs of aging before they occur.

In the video below, I was happy to take some time to discuss some of the more noticeable plastic surgery trends that I took notice of here in my office over the past year:

While these specific cosmetic procedures may not be exactly what every patient is looking for, I always stay informed and open to whatever new trends and ideas. I’m proud to offer a level of patient trust and satisfaction that has helped me be named a Top Doctor in Atlanta for over 20 years.
