Addressing The Neck With Plastic Surgery Procedures
The options for neck rejuvenation are far more wide-ranging than many plastic surgery patients may realize and can often be performed as an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia. That’s because neck rejuvenation takes many forms. And determining the right cosmetic procedure for each patient’s needs depends entirely on the specific aesthetic issues that they want to correct. Excess, loose skin? Weakened muscles in the neck? Excess fat that creates the appearance of a double chin? Below, I go into more detail on the various neck enhancement procedures that I perform and the unique benefits that they can each provide to my patients.
Let me begin with neck lift surgery, a procedure that I have performed for years in order to help patients who experience excess skin and damaged or weakened neck muscles. The incision made during a neck lift is often in easy to conceal areas like around the ear or in the lower hairline. My signature short scar facelift can be used for patients concerned about the appearance of jowls and those who want a more sculpted, better-contoured jawline. In either case, liposuction of the neck can be performed with these procedures (or on its own) to remove the submental fat that creates the appearance of a double chin. And lastly, I offer Z-plasty neck lift surgery for patients who prefer this alternative to traditional neck lift surgery.
It’s important to re-state that while this isn’t the case for every one of these procedures, some neck rejuvenation surgeries can be performed in under an hour as outpatient procedures using only local anesthesia. In the video below, I discuss the neck enhancement surgeries that I perform:
